South Loop Schools
As more and more families choose to stay in the city, education has become a priority. The South Loop has a number of outstanding public, private, and religious schools, ranging from Pre-K to high school. Jones College Prep High School is ranked 5th within Illinois and 124 in the national rankings by Best High Schools – US News and World Report.
There are also a number of highly recommended daycares. The public schools in South Loop are part of the City of Chicago School District 299. The South Loop Elementary School is building a brand-new, state-of-the art school, scheduled to open in the fall of 2019.
